SURVEY TIME!
I know how much everyone enjoys doing surveys, so I've set up this survey and hope that Framingham teens will take it -- it's going to help us do more and better things at the library for teens in the coming months. It's a short survey -- on 10 questions long -- so it should be pretty fast. Please take a moment to fill it out if you're a local teen.
I'll post the results as I get them. And in the meantime, thanks to all you who have participated in the other polls -- it's fun to see the votes.

Also, I'd like to draw your attention to two new features on the sidebar -- we now have a meebo widget living over there, so you can chat with me anytime I'm online and you're on the blog.
We also have a brand new "new books" widget hosted by Library Thing -- it will randomly select and display two new YA books every time you check the blog -- and if you want to see more new YA books, just click on "my library" and it will take you to the list. If you see a book you just might like, click on the "@ the FPL" and you'll be directed to the catalog so you can search it. Wahoo -- so many new fun things! Enjoy!

NOTES ON A FRIDAY -- and another new poll!
So it's finally Friday -- and the last day of November -- which also means the last day of NaNoWriMo, for those of you participating. Congratulations!

A new display went up yesterday -- "When Utopias Go Bad" -- a selection of futuristic, familiar, dystopic books, including things like Feed, 1984, Big Empty series, the Giver series, and others similar. I love these books.
The above display joins our "Space Fiction" display and our "A Little Romance for the Holidays" displays.

What do you like to read during the holiday season? I'll admit that I begin considering the holidays -- time off and such -- I get the craving for big fat epic fantasies. I just finished East, which I reviewed some time ago. Today I checked out The Naming and The Riddle by Croggon. Here's hoping they're as good as they sound!

TEEN READ WEEK!
It's Teen Read Week this week -- and the theme is LOL @ Your Library -- and there are lots of things to do this week!

First of all, be sure to vote for the Teen Top Teen books this week -- join with thousands of teens across the country to choose this year's best, and then tune in in November to see the results.

Second, come to the library to check out one of the many FUNNY books we have on display! (Yes, believe it or not -- some books in the library will make you LOL!)

Third, participate in the WrestleMania Reading Challenge -- or at least pick up a WWE poster (there are a few available on display).

Fourth, join us for our manga club on Tuesday afternoon.

Fifth, win a Nintendo Wii™ for your classroom or library or an iPod just for you! Visit Mirrorstone for details!

And, voice your opinions in the SmartGirl Teen Read Week survey!

ANNOUNCING TEEN READ WEEK
I know it's a little early, but I want to make sure that everyone gets a jump on Teen Read Week next week -- LOL @ Your Library! Come to the library next week (or this week) and check out our display of funny books, download the WrestleMania screensaver and join the WrestleMania Reading Challenge, check out the Teens' Top Ten nominations and then (only next week) vote for your favourites for the Teens' Top Ten!
We'll also be having our Manga Club next Tuesday -- and this coming Saturday is our Pizza Saturday for the Teen Advisory Group! Hope to see you here soon!

HP POLL FINALS
The final results are in for the Harry Potter Poll! The question was: "How do you feel about the new & final Harry Potter book?"
The top result was: "Can't wait -- I have to be first in line -- I need it to survive!" with 37% of the vote.
