    31 OCTOBER
Today is a particularly important day for at least two reasons:

    1. It is Halloween, as I'm sure you're aware. The library is full of festivity -- staff are in costumes, candy is available on some floors, halloween soundtracks permeate out of offices, spooky books are on display.

    2. Today is the last day of October -- which means that tomorrow is the first day of November -- which means that any of you participating in NaNoWriMo have mere hours (or minutes, depending on when you read this) of your own time. Because after midnight tonight, your time belongs solely to your novel.

Tomorrow after school at the high school we're having our first write-in. Come write! Our next one will be next Tuesday at 4.30 in the public library.
